Aquatan’s Geosynthetic Clay Liner’s (GCLs) are high-performance environmental barriers manufactured with durable high-strength geotextiles and a uniform layer of sodium bentonite. The geotextiles offer a long lasting resistance to physical or chemical breakdown in harsh environments. The bentonite’s high swelling capacity and low permeability provide an effective hydraulic seal. Aquatan GCLs, with a total thickness of less than 10mm, provide better hydraulic performance than metres of compacted clay.
